The McCool typewriter was a strange design for a typewriter as late as 1909, as the Underwood typewriter had firmly established what the standard typewriter design would be for the 20th century by this time.
The McCool typewriter uses a type cylinder and with two shift keys, it has just three rows of keys. To collectors, it is a most intriguing typewriter.
