Printing Press

circa 1900

To print on this press, a block of printers type is loaded into a retaining bracket. The ink is applied directly to the round plate. A rubber roller, with each cycle of the handle, travels back and forth from the ink pad to the printers type. As the roller travels back up and out of the way, the paper is pressed against the type.

This machine is only 9" high and has a wonderful articulated action when operating.
