Morse Code resonator

Morse Code resonator

Manufactured by J.H. Bunnell & Co.
Circa 1900

This receiver would have been used in a facility such as a railway station, telegraph or business office in conjunction with an all caps keyboard typewriter. These, all cap models, included the Remington 2 and 4, Caligraph 1 and 2, and the Smith Premier 1.

Engraved on the aluminum tapping bar are the words, 'Western Electric made in the USA.' The open wooden box amplifies the sound of the tapper.
